The Full Pink Moon in Libra
Updated: Apr 4
How to work with the healing energy of one of the year's most beautiful Full Moons.
The Full Pink Moon in Libra occurs on Thursday, 6th April 2023 at 05:34 GMT and Relationships of all kinds are under the spotlight with the moon in this sign.

The first full moon of Spring gets its name from the pink flowers that start to bloom at this time of year - although the moon itself won't appear pink in the sky. Disappointing, I know!
What Does A Full Moon Mean for Us?
I'm such an astrology geek and if you've ever been for a Tarot Card reading with me, you'll always hear me talk about the zodiac signs and the planets, and how they may be affecting you.
The celestial bodies are always influencing events that happen here on earth, and often causing mayhem, but even if you're not interested in the wider astrology, I believe that we can all work with the energy of the moon.
Especially when it's in either of its two main phases - the New Moon phase and the Full Moon phase.

The Opposing Energies of this Full Moon.
First, let's talk about the other dynamics involved in this Libra full moon - you might want to take these into account when figuring out what will be the best way for you personally to work with its energy.
We have the Sun in Libra's opposite sign, Aries, at the moment.
Aries is 'I am' energy and very much focused on the self, whereas Libra is more about compromising with and relating to others.
Whenever we have an opposition in astrology, the energies are conflicting, a bit like a 'push-pull' effect. So we may experience tension or even drama at these times. Opposition 'aspects' can be extremely challenging but they are also great motivators and give us an opportunity to harmonise the energies that are at play.
Opposite signs of the zodiac have contrasting qualities and tendencies.
Aries is a fire sign and is known for being independent, self-motivated, and assertive. Aries is a natural leader and isn’t afraid to take risks and pursue its goals with passion and enthusiasm.
Libra, on the other hand, is an air sign and is known for being diplomatic, cooperative, and balanced. Associated with fairness and justice, Libra is pretty good at seeing both sides of an issue and finding ways to bring people together.

When these two signs oppose each other, (as they will on Wednesday/Thursday), there can sometimes be a clash because of their differing energies. Aries may see Libra as indecisive and weak, while Libra may see Aries as impulsive and reckless.
However, if they can learn to appreciate and respect each other's strengths, Aries Sun and Libra Moon can work together in harmony.
Aries can provide the initiative and leadership to get things started, while Libra can provide the tact and diplomacy to ensure that everyone's needs are taken into account in a peaceful manner.
Together, they could actually achieve great things by combining their strengths and working towards a common goal.
Aries can benefit from Libra's ability to see things from different perspectives and consider the needs of others, while Libra can benefit from Aries' energy and drive to take action and make things happen.
Aries and Libra are both cardinal signs.
In astrology, the term ‘cardinal’ refers to the four zodiac signs that mark the beginning of each season: Aries (spring), Cancer (summer), Libra (fall), and Capricorn (winter).
They're known as "cardinal" because they represent leadership, action, and initiation and are associated with the qualities of starting new things, taking charge, and being proactive.
People with cardinal signs prominent in their birth chart are often seen as ambitious, dynamic, and confident. They tend to be natural leaders and instigators who are motivated and not afraid to pursue their goals.
However, too much cardinal energy can sometimes lead to impatience, impulsiveness, and a tendency to rush into things without careful consideration. It's important to balance this energy with other qualities to achieve long-term success and fulfillment.

Working with the Full Moon.
The Moon in astrology is associated with our deepest feelings, our emotional responses and inner world, and our instincts and unconscious.
Every full moon presents us with a chance to let go of anything that isn't working for us, and by tapping into the emotions that come up for us and relating them to the zodiac sign that the full moon is in, we are aligning with supportive energy.
The Intention is to Go with the flow and not against it.
Libras is known for its peacemaking skills and ability to see both sides of a situation.
In a less positive sense, Libra can sometimes be indecisive, easily swayed by others, and may avoid conflict at all costs - even if it means compromising its own needs.
The Full Pink Moon in Libra invites us to examine the balance in all of our relationships, (not just our intimate ones), and to also examine the relationship we have with ourselves.
With the full moon in this sign, it’s time to release those imbalances and if need be, make peace with those around us. This Full Moon also asks us to look at what we want, not what others want.
A Healing Full Moon.
The energy of the Full Pink Moon in Libra can be particularly healing, especially in terms of relationships. Libra’s ruling planet, Venus, is also associated with healing, our attachments to others, pleasure, our values, and relating.
The influence of Venus during the Full Pink Moon in Libra indicates that we may find ourselves feeling more empathetic, kind, and compassionate which can lead to more understanding of other people.
So ask yourself if there are any differences in your relationships that can be resolved now.
Which relationships need compromise in order to move forward?
Where do you need to be more honest in your relationships?
Where do you need to consider your own needs?
As an air sign, Libra is associated with networking, communication, and socialising. During this Full Moon, the Libran energy can help us connect more deeply with others.
Libra is also associated with mental agility and flexibility, allowing us to see situations from different perspectives and approach problems with a clear and logical mind. This can be particularly helpful in resolving conflicts and finding solutions to problems with other people.
Venus and Libra are often associated with love, beauty, and aesthetic. In an astrological sense, Venus influences not only our relationships, but also poetry, aesthetics, art, and music.

Overall, the energy of the Full Pink Moon in Libra, with its emphasis on all of the above, can be healing both for our relationships and for our personal sense of well-being.
It invites us to let go of disparities, release resentment, and embrace forgiveness and understanding.
By focusing on the positive traits of Libran energy and the influence of beautiful, healing Venus, we can start to cultivate a greater sense of happiness and balance in our lives.
7 Things to Release Under the Full Pink Libra Moon.
So I want to give you some suggestions for working with this beautiful healing energy! Take a look at the examples below and see if they resonate with you.
Take what you need, leave the rest.
#1 - Release any imbalances in your relationships.
Take stock of the give and take in your relationships and ensure that they're equal. Do You need to strike a balance anywhere?
Release the need to want to please others and think of yourself.
#2 - Let go of any resentment or grudges you're holding onto.
Forgive those who have wronged you and make peace with them. Easier said than done sometimes, right?
But really, ask yourself: what is this feeling of resentment bringing me? If you can't make peace with the person(s) you have a grudge with, release the need to hold onto it and let that person go - with love.
#3 - Release any fears or doubts that are holding you back from pursuing your goals.
Where are you lacking in confidence? Do you need to network or 'put yourself out there' in some way? Make a conscious decision to release the fears that are stopping you from achieving what you want.
Trust in yourself and your abilities!
#4 - Let go of any need to please others at the expense of your own needs.
Are you doing too much for other people? Are you compromising your own wants and needs to the detriment of yourself?
Put yourself first and prioritise your own well-being. It's important that you take time to practice self-care. It's not selfish; it's necessary.
#5 - Release any unhealthy attachments.
to people, situations, or things that are no longer serving you. Cut ties and move on.
This is a big one. Who is no good for you? Who brings you drama, conflict, sadness or, toxicity? They need to go, my friend.
What unhealthy habits do you have? They need to go too.
#6 - Let go of any judgment or bias you may hold towards others.
When we're judging others or we're jealous of them, it says more about us than it does about them.
Detox your social media, phone, email list, address book, etc. Unfriend, unfollow.
Or try to see others as equals and let other people do what they want. If they're affecting you in some way and you know them personally then refer to point 5 above - do you really need them around you?
#7 - Release any resistance to change.
Embrace the natural ebb and flow of life and be open to new opportunities and experiences. Tell yourself that a change indicates a shift.
We can get stuck sometimes but life is always moving. Trust that you're always exactly where you need to be.
Final Note:

If you have crystals, don't forget to give them a cleanse with incense or cold running water (unless they're soluble).
Then put them on a windowsill (or cover them with cling film and place them outside), under the light of the Full Moon, on Wednesday evening as the moon is waxing to full.
This will charge them with energy.
Rose Quartz is a beautiful crystal to work with when we're healing.
Enjoy the beautiful, Full Pink Moon in Libra!
